My profile was far from a techie one. I have a bachelors degree in Psychology and after that, I worked as a Community Manager and as a Graphic designer because I needed to change my career path. One day, I discovered that my true passion was programming, so I put myself in the best hands to be not a good one but a great developer!
I'll not cheat anyone: effort, a lot of effort, and MORE effort is required if you want to do the best bootcamp in Barcelona and keep alive. 
Now I start my career as a Developer, and I just want to say thanks to all the Skylab team and friends I've known! 

Han pasado ya siete semanas desde que en mi promoción de Skylab defendimos nuestros proyectos fullstack que tantas alegrías y quebraderos de cabeza nos habían causado. Unos proyectos que uno a uno constituyen la mejor carta de presentación para todos aquellos que lo dimos todo para sacarlos a delante y para todo el equipo que nos acompañó durante el camino.

En Skylab entran personas con trayectorias muy dispares, algunas sin conocimientos de programación, algunas con ligeras nociones y otras con un buen bagaje en lenguajes de programación distintos y que quieren moverse hacia el javascript.

Todas ellas realizan un proyecto con frontend y backend al final del bootcamp gracias al valioso equipo humano que lo mueve.

En mi caso llevaba tiempo buscando dar un vuelco a mi carrera profesional, tras los infructuosos intentos de encontrar trabajo acorde con mis estudios de geología, comencé a imaginarme como desarrollador, dándole una oportunidad de carrera a unos de mis hobbies, trastear con la informática.

En mi caso me convenció David, la alma máter del bootcamp. En ese momento desconocía la existencia de estos cursos tan intensivos y me sentía algo reacio a desembolsar una importante cantidad de dinero por un curso de dos meses y algo. Ahora no lo dudaría. A las dos semanas de finalizar ya había realizado distintas entrevistas y a la siguiente me ofrecían el puesto de trabajo como desarrollador web en el que este lunes he comenzado a trabajar, recibiendo apoyo del centro hasta ese mismo momento.

Los viernes por la tarde se han convertido en un ritual en el que nos encontramos muchos alumnos y staff. Desde el primer día me he sentido en familia.

En Skylab te sientes parte de una familia no sólo con los profesores y los compañeros de clase, sino también con David, el fundador. Está siempre dispuesto a ayudar en todo lo necesario, tenga o no que ver con el curso; Ya sea antes, durante o después del bootcamp.

Skylab no sólo prepara a los estudiantes para aprender Javascript y el MEAN Stack, sino que te dan las bases para ser un buen desarrollador, lo que facilita la adaptación y el aprendizaje de cualquier otro lenguaje o framework en un futuro.

I trusted on SkylabCoders to make a professional change. I even carried out this course had hardly programmed. And after finishing the course I feel 100% developer. Skylab is 100% recommendable. For me the investment even being high is very worthwhile because in skylabCoders they push you and accompany you until you reach a very good professional level. You come from there prepared to work in full-stack developer positions, with a high junior level. I am very happy with the course just like all my classmates.

Esta etapa empieza con un pre-curso de javascript nativo con un profesional del sector, que te ayudará online y de manera presencial una vez a la semana hasta que empiece el bootcamp. Esto es una de las cosas más valiosas. Primero porque no empiezas de 0 el bootcamp, y segundo y muy importante, es que ya empiezas a hacer grupo con tus futuros compañeros de   clase. 
Recibes un trato muy personal de manera que tu objetivo se convierte en el suyo para que puedas llegar al final de las 10 semanas intensivas siendo un buen programador.
Muy recomendable por el trato personal, no todo el mundo se preocupa de tu futuro tanto como ellos.

This course changed my life in just 10 weeks. It's been a super intensive experience where not only I've learnt the curricular skills but also I've been given the opportunity to become part of this amazing family. You literally feel home. From the director to the alumni everyone has an awesome attitude that transmits the right vibes to make the most of the skills you lean, they create a great environment where you enjoy your time while learning and help you when you feel down. The teacher Juanma has an unbelievable ability to synthesize and transmit knowledge far beyond anything I've seen before. Furthermore, the price is ridiculous compared to the other options in Barcelona, no doubt this could be the best investment you make. Last but not least, I can proudly say that Skylab made of me a developer .

Having no idea of programming previous to attending the bootcamp it was a really scary decision to make.

However in the end it payed off. The curriculum is very complete and the teachers are incredibly up to date on all the topics and constantly provide information and help on ever new subject.

It is not all theory thankfully since ever day you have to complete excercises or small projects so you can show yourself that you have in fact learned what you are shown.

Would highly recommend this bootcamp.

I had been working on the industry for a few years, mainly as a UI/UX designer and doing the markup for my designs (HTML and CSS). I felt my career growth was kind of stagnated and I was getting more and more curious about "real" programming. I stsrted doing all kinds of stuff with jQuery but I felt that I needed some solid knowledge, but I didn't feel like getting into a 2-3 years degree again, so that's when I discovered the bootcamp concept. 

Skylab was the first I came across with, and even though I looked into a few other options, I was sure that Skylab was the best choice. The price is reasonable, people are awesome (teachers and fellow students as well) and I wanted a full javascript based curriculum. I was part of the first class Skylab organized, and it didn't let down at all. It feels like a tiny family and they look after you, if you are doing well, if you feel overwhelmed… they never leave a student behind. 

Since I already had some experience in the field, there were a few days when I felt I was not learning as much (mainly the days focused on git, html and css), but that will be different depending on your background.

You finish the bootcamp more than ready to get a job as a developer. I started working roughly a month after as a fullstack developer, and I keep getting contacted for job opportunities very often.

If you are decided on becoming a developer, Skylab is probably one of the best choices you'll find.

For almost a year, I tried to learn the basics of Web Development by myself (and with some help of great friends and awesome online resources), and I learned quite a lot about HTML, CSS and a little about JS; however, somehow, I got lost on the way, wich is pretty common as I can see, so I decided to do a bootcamp to get out of the dark side.

 After reviewing a few ones in the city, I contacted the Skylab Coders Academy's team only for a reason, the program, a Full Stack JavaScript one. And now that I just finished the bootcamp (three days ago), I could not be more satisfied with my decision, the content hit the nail on the head and the mentors are great, you will get to work with people as passionate as you and the best of all are the results, you can see mines at my GitHub account, I crafted a web-based e-commerce app as my final project, using techonlogies like AngularJS, Koa2 and Mongoose, it took me a lot of hard work, but it was really fun too. 

So, do I recommend the bootcamp? Of course I do. :)
