School16 is a 16-week, live online, part-time Technology Career Acceleration Program that gets students job-ready for tech careers without needing to learn how to code. In the first 8 weeks, students learn foundational tech skills from experienced industry professionals as they rotate through Sales, Marketing, Project Management and Product Management – all while building critical career searching skills. Students then select an Advanced Learning Concentration (ALC) course for the final 8 weeks. In the ALC course, students focus solely on building skills and a portfolio for the most in-demand business-focused roles in tech: Sales and Customer Success, Digital Marketing, Project Management and Operations, or Product Management. School16’s courses were designed with the needs of modern students in mind; they are part-time and online meaning that most anyone can fit the program into their schedule.
School16 courses are led by instructors with deep industry experience, so students can learn what these jobs look like in tech companies, how to manage core responsibilities of the roles, and more. School16 also offers direct access to mentors who work in tech to deepen a student’s understanding of the field they’re preparing to enter. There is 1:1 career coaching and group sessions with career advisors, too.

School16 came into my life at the most precise time. While I was very grateful for my previous experience in government I was curious about other career opportunities. When I decided to venture out I knew I would be more successful if I was part of a community. Marketable skills and knowledge at a great value
This course provided me with tons of knowledge and practical experience. We covered a lot of information in our short time, but it was never too much to handle. I very much appreciated the small group sessions where we worked on real-world situations applying what we had just learned. Then afterwards each group had an opportunity to publicly present their collaborative work.

Interactive and engaging program!
Through School16, I learned that there were so many non-coding jobs available at tech companies. Coming from a non-tech background, I also learned new terms and tools that tech companies use. I had a great experience with School16. The instructors, fellow students, and advisors alone made it well worth it. Everyone is an industry expert and can provide real-world scenarios and are always willing to help. It is hard to find this sort of guidance and advice outside of a traditional college. You get what you put in. Be present, attentive, ask questions, utilize office hours (I wish I utilized office hours more) and it will all be well worth it.
