Avocademy’s core program is an 8-week UX/UI Foundations course. Each expert-curated lesson in the curriculum builds on the previous content, helping students gain the knowledge and skill required to land a Junior UX/UI Designer job in a relatively short time frame. The UX/UI Foundations lessons consist of video and reading material. After learning key concepts and best practices, students test their knowledge by completing activities rooted in real-world UX/UI deliverables. Throughout the 8-week course, students complete an entire UX/UI project from research to high-fidelity prototyping and testing.
Students receive unlimited one-on-one mentorship each week to gather feedback on their project work and to ensure they have a strong understanding of the course material.

I did Avocademy UX/UI Foundations last year, and I'd say it was definitely worth it. The course material was split between external readings/videos, and internal instructor videos and readings. This isn't some secret, exclusive UX/UI information that one couldn't learn on their own, BUT what the bootcamp offers is a collaborative environment to learn the material in a structured way. It also sets you up for success if you move on to do Career Jumpstart (which I'm currently in and really ...I did Avocademy UX/UI Foundations last year, and I'd say it was definitely worth it. It also sets you up for success if you move on to do Career Jumpstart (which I'm currently in and really loving, definitely worth it especially for the experience working on real world projects in teams with other students). The unlimited mentorship is also great in both courses; not something I took advantage of as much as I should have, but a great resource to have nonetheless. I do think the deadlines are kind of tight in Foundations, especially if you work full time, so you really have to commit to meeting them, but then again real-life design projects are like this too so it's good preparation. Engaging experience!!!
This was the best course/experience I have had! I started my path in tech, learning from Udx, Coursera, and YouTube, as a self-started programmer. I learned a lot but realized I enjoyed much more UX design. I did the same and tried to learn by myself. The thing about design is that if you are alone, your products can suffer from your own bias and preconceptions. That is where Avocademy comes in and helps you get real feedback and guidance. Great Information and Lots of Help
This boot camp taught me everything I needed to know. The mentors are very responsive, and help you every step of the way. The only issue I had was after I finished the boot camp my portfolio wasn't large enough to really grab the attention of employers. Avocademy is top notch!
Avocademy is absolutely amazing! I took the Foundations course, in which I learned the foundations of UX/UI. From there, I enrolled in the Career Jumpstart. Both of these programs helped me build skills while working on real-life projects. They offered unlimited 1 on 1 mentorship. Additionally, they helped equip me with how to build my portfolio and resume, as well as helping me prepare for interviews as I transitioned careers. Don't recommend
I had a pretty frustrating experience with Avocademy. Last year when I was in-between jobs, I thought I'd give UX a shot and signed up for Avocademy since everyone seemed to rave about it. However, just two days after the withdrawal deadline, I got this awesome job offer in a completely different field. I knew right away I wouldn't have the time for the course, so I asked for a refund. I mean, come on, I barely missed the deadline and hadn't even started the darn thing! But they were tot...I had a pretty frustrating experience with Avocademy. I mean, come on, I barely missed the deadline and hadn't even started the darn thing! But they were totally inflexible and flat out refused to give me my money back. Instead, they offered me a six-month extension. Six months went by and I was still swamped with work and had zero time for their course. I reached out again, hoping for a refund or another extension, but nope, they shut me down. The whole experience with the Avocademy team left a sour taste in my mouth.
