It was quite a challenge but I made it

I studied UX/UI design at Careerist. Ufff, that was tough! I had to completely change my approach to design. I thought it would be more about creativity, but it was about profit first of all. Careerist taught me how to design not for self-expression but for business. These guys are so pragmatic and I trust them.

    Got my first paycheck yesterday!

My employer offered me a test period of 2 months. I did the first one well and I got my first paycheck. The boss says that I have good testing skills and I got them at Careerist! It took me about 3 months or so to get employed. In the first month I sent out quite few job applications. Starting with the second month I began to do it every day and eventually got a job. Careerist tutors taught me how to apply properly. Thanks!!!

Got a job thanks to Careerist

I learned manual QA just for fun. I collected a portfolio and began to apply for jobs but no one wanted me! I asked the employers for feedback but nobody replied. ☹️ So then I enrolled for the course. At careerist, they explained what I did wrong. I finally got a job two weeks before graduation. I think I was the first person in my group who got hired!!

    I’m just getting started

I’m studying ux/ui design and I’m enjoying it!! I already know how to use figma and slack. The biggest revelation for me was maze - it helps you research your audience and make data-driven decisions. The instructors teach us how to handle practical tasks and give just the necessary minimum of theory. We have instructors from meta, airbnb and google! And later we’ll have an internship and make a portfolio!

Got one job offer and still looking

I completed the manual QA course. I graduated three weeks ago and now I’m actively looking for a job. I use jas, linkedin and job boards. I had two interviews (one from jas and the other from linkedin) and one job offer. A startup almost hired me but they wanted me to work remotely and I don’t feel 100% confident for that yet… I want a hybrid job so that I can watch how more experienced testers work. So I had to decline their offer. Some might say I’m reckless but I’m not in a hurry and ...

Hope to find a good job after graduation

I’m halfway through the sales engineering course. I’m combining it with a part-time job and tbh I thought it would be more difficult! Actually it’s not that hard. I really like the teachers and how they deliver the information. I can’t wait to try the Job Application Service! So far, it seems to me this course is worth the money I paid.

I’m 42 y.o. and I had only one non-tech job in my life.

I joined the manual QA course to start a new life. Recently I’ve completed it. I found the course structure well-paced and the content comprehensive. The instructors' clear expertise and real-world examples truly helped me grasp the concepts. While a tad challenging at times, the course has significantly boosted my confidence in QA testing. It's never too late to learn, and this course proves that.

I’ve been working as a manual tester for nearly three years, so I understand this job a bit.

To expand my career opportunities, I completed the QA Automation course at Careerist. Probably, I could have learned some things on my own. But it’s always great to get advice from experienced tech pros. Plus, I got a formal certificate, which is essential for some companies that I’d like to apply to.

I chose Careerist over other the six platforms that I considered.

First, I made a spreadsheet where I compared all the options. Then, I got in touch with the teams of all the platforms to assess how they communicate and answer questions. In the final standings, Careerist scored two points higher than the runner-up. I’m halfway through the UX course now and I don’t regret my choice at all.
