CodeOp is an international tech school headquartered in Barcelona that offers full-time and part-time tech bootcamps for women, trans, and gender non-conforming people in full stack web development, data analytics, and data science. Launched as a social venture by a San Francisco native in 2018, CodeOp is an international team that is passionate about doing meaningful work at the intersection of tech and education.
The Full Stack Development course is for students looking to transition into tech. In the full stack development bootcamp (6 months part-time or 11 weeks full-time), students learn programming fundamentals such as advanced JavaScript, data structures, and algorithms along with technologies like Vue, React.js, Node.js, Express, MySQL, Git, Scrum, and Heroku.
The Data Analytics course is for students with or without any statistical or analytical skills who want to build a career in the analytics industry. Students will learn how to code for analytics, data infrastructure, exploratory data analysis and visualisation. Our bootcamp provides you with an industry-ready toolkit to build your Data Analytics career, while creating multiple portfolio pieces to showcase your new skill set.
The Data Science course is for those with a statistical, technical, or BI background. In the Data Science bootcamp students will gain hands-on experience with the various stages of the data analysis pipeline from an industry perspective, specifically how to apply various technologies to ingest, model and visualize data insights.
CodeOp only accepts applications from women, trans and gender non-conforming people.
The final weeks of CodeOp’s bootcamps will focus on career preparation activities. Career preparation includes building a portfolio and working with mentors who meet with students on an as-needed basis. Even after the bootcamp ends, bootcamp graduates receive continued career support through regular meetings with career coaches and virtual monthly office hours.
I just graduated high school, and chose CodeOp as my gap year program leading into a computer science degree.
First things first: it doesn’t matter how much you know about code. The small cohort size and vast amount of learning resources allows every kind of student to take charge of their learning. One-on-one mentoring with incredible instructors is always available, and they went above and beyond to help students. That was my favorite part of the program. I learned ...

As far as community goes, everyone there is so supportive—I’ve never been in such a kind and encouraging environment, and I’ve taken computer science courses before. I also enjoyed the fact that the bootcamp was female-focused. I learned a lot about how to navigate challenges women face in tech that I wouldn’t have if I had gone to another program.
CodeOp also teaches you invaluable skills for employment that you just wouldn’t be able to get on your own. From career prep (with individual coaching sessions!) to talks from a huge variety of professionals, project development sprints, and much, much, more, I learned an incredible amount and feel genuinely prepared for the job market. In fact, I got a job before the program even ended!
I love CodeOp not just for what I learned, but the people I met there and the community I got to be a part of.
I decided to join the Bootcamp in Full Stack Development in Codeop because of the Learning by Doing methodology and the supportive atmosphere of a woman coding school. Before finishing the course I started doing the first interviews thanks to the contacts that the school have with top led companies in Barcelona. In less than a month I recived my first offer and I joined a company working as a javascript developer. All in all and amazing experience which I can only speak good words.
