I started the Software Engineering career track with Springboard in September of 2023 and completed it in November of 2024. It took me longer than expected (10-I started the Software Engineering career track with Springboard in September of 2023 and completed it in November of 2024. It took me longer than expected (10-11 months is the expectation) to complete the course since I had to balance my schedule with a full time job with work related travel and many life events but the Springboard team was very accommodating and allowed me to finish in a timeline that worked for my situation.
I already work in software as a business systems analyst but taking the software engineering track was valuable for me because it helped me get more in depth knowledge in the technical side of my work and a deeper understanding of what the developers on my team work through day to day. The course material in Springboard provided me a good technical baseline to continue my education in software because it gave me a good principled understanding of software development and how current web based applications generally work.
Despite some of the technologies and frameworks being taught in the course not being the latest and most popular in the industry, the understanding gained from this bootcamp allowed me to explore and pick up new technologies very quickly because it gave me a good foundational understanding of how web applications work. So I would recommend not reading into which languages/frameworks are being taught in Springboard as a detractor from taking this course. The material is of high quality and Colt Steeles videos are very easy to follow and well planned out.

Moreover, the on-site experience of the course has been crucial for me. I could not imagine it in any other format. The quality of the transmission of the contents, as well as the coexistence with the teaching team and the rest of my classmates, both in my course and those of WebDev and Data Analysis, would not have been of such a high level and would not have exceeded my expectations if it had not been in a face-to-face format. I highly recommend this formula. It feels like a summer camp and you feel it when you leave, but in this case you don't just take friends for life, you change your professional life forever. First of all, I have a great support system at home that allowed me to focus 100% on this course for 4 months. I was able to take a recourse to prepare me for the full-time program.
The first month was HARD. I thought I was going to give up. The assignments are fast, and I spent all of my free time studying. It was difficult not to compare where I stood to others in my class. At my toughest moment, I reached out to my Career Services Manager and my TA. They both helped encourage me and offer support when I needed them.
I would say the most important take-aways for those looking to join the bootcamp: Make sure you have a support system. Don't compare yourself to others in the class. Stay dedicated and find the motivation behind why you're doing this.
Coding Dojo has great resources throughout the course, that continue on for 6 months after you graduate. There is also an option to pay more for a yearly alumni pass.

However I was disappointed when I found out after I completed the course, that it is not a aPHR (Associate Professional Human Resources) certification. I am new to this field, so either I overlooked this when looking over their website or it was not mentioned in the details. Like I said, it was a good introduction for a newbie, however now I have to pay an additional cost to get an aPHR Certification, with the same curriculum. So, just be aware if you’re on a budget and would rather pay for Certification instead.

Attending Coding Temple was by far the best experience I’ve ever had compared to the other professional career schools I’ve attended. I didn't feel that this was a typical, cookie-cutter program.
I made a ton of friends that I still talk to and collaborate with. The program was flexible with my schedule and I never had to figure things out alone. We all worked as a team, building really cool projects and by the time I graduated, I had a portfolio of cybersecurity projects to show to potential employers.
At graduation, I felt job ready. I also earned my CompTIA Security+ Certification. I think this 'cert' made me stand out, along with the 9 other certificates I received because as soon as I posted it on my LinkedIn profile and started applying for jobs, I started getting interviews... which brings me to the next point and maybe the most important point.
I graduated in one of the worst 'tech job applicant markets the world had ever seen' lol ... However, CT had reverse recruiters helping me with everything job related. As everyone else on LinkedIn was complaining that they were not getting noticed by employers, I was. I didn't say too much in public because I knew that a lot of folks were really struggling out there in the job market and tooting my own horn would have caused negative emotions.
Then it came down to 3 employers that offered me a job. One of them was toxic. One paid $$$ but would have required much more time than I wanted to give... but the one I really wanted checked off 3 of the 4 boxes on my vision board and that's the one I chose. So not only did I get hired but I got to choose the company I wanted to work for and here's the kicker!... They initially reached out to me first! I shit you not!
The total time from day 1 of the starting the program and not even knowing what an IP address was until I was hired was exactly 7 months. I didn't start paying for the program until I was hired.
Long story short, this was a wonderful and fun experience, and I recommend that anyone who wants to change their life, go for it! I don't want to leave a review without also leaving the full story. They were expensive and I didn't have the money at the time. I looked at all of the other programs and saw that a few of them were cheaper. Then I started digging and found out why. Kim Wood is an extremely knowledgeable career coach and she helped me a ton when it came to my interview process. The instructors were extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. A few things to consider if you're thinking about enrolling at Fullstack... Start studying for your Security+ ASAP and be prepared to study outside of class hours. My two goals when starting this course were to have Sec+ completed and a job lined up for when I graduated. Both of those goals have been accomplished, I actually got my job offer 3 days before graduation! I know most everyone who reads these reviews wants to know whether or not they will get a job and I'm confident to say that if I can do it, anyone can do it. The only downside I can think of with this bootcamp would be that my cohort was over 70 students which made it a bit tough to get 1 on 1 time with the instructors and to have your personal questions answered. However, there are mentors in the cohorts in which they provide outside class office hours that you can attend to ask any questions if you can spare any time outside the course itself. Lastly, start focusing on LinkedIn and building connections. This is how I found out, applied and got my job so I cannot stress enough how important LinkedIn is.
