Coder Foundry is a coding bootcamp offering .NET training via a 12-week full-time virtual bootcamp, or a self-paced online platform. The Coder Foundry bootcamp is designed and taught by industry practitioners covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET, and SQL. Graduates will have a fully functioning, enterprise-level portfolio with multi-functioning applications. The curriculum is delivered through project-based collaborative learning and provides students with live interactive instruction, and access to instructors and mentors.

To apply to Coder Foundry, applicants need to complete an online assessment and a series of academic pre-work. Coder Foundry is looking for students eager to get their hands dirty by solving real-world problems, and who have the skills needed to secure entry-level jobs in the Software Development field.

Graduates leave fully qualified for software development jobs and move on to working with the recruiting partner TEKsystems upon graduation. Students receive mock technical interview training and have access to a network of mentors, former students, and ongoing career coaching and job placement support.

Coder Foundry has been such a valuable and enjoyable experience learning .NET, C#, MVC, SQL, and more, so far. The instructors are very knowledgeable and helpful in so many ways. There is nothing more valuable than hands-on, workshop style setting classes that incorporate important insight into what companies are looking for when hiring employees. Everyone at Coder Foundry is very helpful, and the one on one time with either the instructors or developers is always available. For anyone int...

A for-profit school luring you into a predatory loan!

Unless you actually know a little bit about coding it will be very hard for you to pick up on this skill they promised that anyone can learn! The ISA loan they put you in its predatory and you're locked in it for 10 years whether you graduate or not. They also use their own employees to boost ratings on review sites like this, so take it from an actual student who did the program with no coding background, 99% of our class did not graduate because we simply did not learn. Lectures were l...

We strive to make sure that everyone who attends Coder Foundry has the best experience and outcome. We sincerely apologize that your time with us was disappointing and didn’t live up to your expectations.

We appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts and if you want to reach out to us and address anything directly we would be more than happy to discuss how we can help.

The acceptance process at Coder Foundry involves a stringent screening process. We enroll students with any level of experience who we think can be successful. This includes those with no prior experience in coding. We only accept twenty or less students per cohort despite many times more applicants. If a student passed that criteria we thought they were capable of graduating and becoming a developer.

We offer a two-week, no questions asked, refund. If a student feels like the program isn’t for them, after two weeks, we provide a full refund or terminate any loan/ISA agreement. After two weeks any charges are pro-rated based on the student's time attended. A student can choose to terminate their enrollment at any time.

Coder Foundry offers three payment options. Cash, traditional loan, and an income share agreement (ISA). An ISA is not a requirement to attend Coder Foundry and is not a traditional loan. While the ISA isn’t the cheapest option (cash is the cheapest) it offers a lot of flexibility and $0 money out of pocket.

We are very transparent about the terms and conditions of our ISA program and all details can be found at https://www.coderfoundry.com/launchpad. It’s basically 36 payments of 15% of your income, capped at $25k, unless you make less than $40k or are not currently working. Your ISA does expire after 10 years even if you haven’t made any payments. While most of our students are successful and make way more than $40k, we understand that life happens and an ISA can protect a student from paying if they don’t meet the income criteria.

Employees do not leave reviews as students. All reviews on Course Report are from validated students.

Coder Foundry has never in our nine-year history had a failure rate of 99%. A typical class graduation rate is around 80%.

We think Coder Foundry is the toughest boot camp in the industry. We know it’s not easy. The program is designed to give students the best possible chance of securing a job upon graduation. With that in mind, we require students to spend 40 hours a week in class with an instructor. This is a full-time immersive bootcamp experience that to some could seem long and tedious, but we feel it’s necessary.

While employee changes are a part of running a business, we always aim to have a minimal impact on students. Our current placement staff has been in place since 2021 and prior staff were in place since 2016. Our placement staff is dedicated to helping students post-boot camp by contacting companies, assisting with applications, reviewing resumes, arranging interviews, and assisting with interview preparation. Our placement staff proactively calls companies on a student's behalf to present their portfolio and arrange interviews.

Post graduation we offer lifetime access to learn.coderfoundry.com/ (our online self-learning platform) to keep a student's skills up to date.

As a previous student, you're entitled to our career placement services and access to the online platform. Please reach out and we’d be more than happy to help. We genuinely want you to be successful and are committed to every one of our students.

    Not the greatest

I had trouble getting answers to my questions when I had trouble and the videos dont go into the detail that some people may need to grasp a coding concept. Also not all of the videos have been updated to take new versions of Visual Studio into consideration so you have to guess at some of the changes that need to be made to make the apps you build work.

    Right on the nose

It was great, I now have a job. I was looking for bootcamps that had good reputations and I could afford, I know the learn now pay later model gets a bad wrap but I was about 5-6 months pregnant when I started the bootcamp so I took a leap of faith and I'm glad I did. I learned so much building all the projects, they really delivered on their promise, I put in the work and got out a job, which for my family is amazing.

    Was worth it!

3 Ways Coder Foundry improved my life. You won't believe number 2!

    1. It taught me the fundamentals (and beyond) of an entirely unfamiliar technology stack. I went into the program having a good foundational understanding of OOP. Coder Foundry got me up to speed on an exhaustive list of technologies - C#, SQL, SQL Server, HTTP, IIS, JS, HTML, Bootstrap, JQuery, Visual Studio, LINQ, MVC, Web API. The hands on, learn by doing (learn by failing at times) methodology transmogrified documentation from theory to functional, productive skill. And, just as import...

    Disappointment

The instructors at Coder Foundry were friendly but they expect you to find the answers yourself.  They give very little instruction.  They dont give one-on-one teaching.  The class sizes are small, which is good.  I did get advice on how to interview and answer questions. I recieved no help in getting interviews or job leads.

    Over-Promising, Under-Delivering

When I went through the application process to attend Coder Foundry’s Master Class, I was required to take a programming test that consisted of 5-6 JavaScript problems. Two to three of my programs were incorrect. (At this point, I don’t remember the exact figures and I no longer have access to my test results, but I am certain that the percentage of answers correct was well below 100%.) Moreover, I had indicated that I had no actual software-developing job experience. The Coder Foundry rep...

We are careful not to overpromise anything to prospective students, especially not salary.

The only thing we promise is that we teach the most widely in-demand stack (.NET), we have the best curriculum and instructors, and you will have to work hard.

    This student admits that:

    1. he learned to code at Coder Foundry,
    2. built a portfolio of applications,
    3. and was sent on multiple interviews by our job placement department.

Does that objectively deserve a 1 star review?

I ask everyone reading this to do your own research. The poster says the third party recruiters he worked with told him his portfolio doesn't count, and you need professional experience to land an entry level job.

This is simply not the case.

According to Course Report's own study of bootcamp grads, most had no experience professional experience before coming in to our class.

For a good overview of what it's like to attend Coder Foundry, please see Course Report's video interview with our student: https://www.coursereport.com/schools/coder-foundry#/news/life-after-coder-foundry-with-alum-philip-weiser

If the anonymous poster is reading this I encourage him to reengage with us. We would still like to help him find a job that fits.
