_nology is a global tech training and talent provider offering a 12-week, full-time, online Cloud Engineer. The course covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TDD, Google Cloud, Docker & Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Networking. _nology aims to tackle the skills shortage and lack of diversity within the tech sector by breaking down the barriers to entry and making space for everyone, regardless of their background.

No previous coding experience is required to apply for the Software Developer Training Course. _nology assesses applicants based on their potential, not whether they have experience in tech. Applicants should be passionate about technology, creative problem-solvers, self-starters, hardworking, and ready to learn.

Upon successful completion of the training cohort, _nologists receive a conditional job placement. Graduates are deployed as Junior Cloud Engineers or a Junior Software Developers (dependent on the training cohort joined) on an 18-month placement with one of _nology’s UK clients in an office-based, hybrid, or remote role. The starting salary is £26,000 with pay rises every 6 months. During this 18-month client placement, _nologists gain practical experience working on a variety of exciting projects as part of a real tech team. The Talent Team will be on hand throughout the placement to support and provide further coaching, with check-ins at week 1 and week 2, and monthly thereafter.

    An incredible experience

My experience at _Nology has been incredible! I started the course with very little knowledge of software development and tech stacks. I had been looking into becoming a developer since being made redundant due to Covid as I was unhappy in my career. I knew after the taster session with _Nology that this was the course for me. This course has given me the skills and experience to land my first Junior Developer role, I've just finished my 12 week training with a portfolio of work and a Re...

    A brilliant change of careers

After spending time as an Engineer, changing to Software Development really felt like the right way to go.
If a career change is what you want, and you enjoy a challenge, Nology is the course for you.
The coaches are awesome, they are knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and fun. Every day on the course doesn't feel like a chore, it feels like playtime at school with your mates!
Nology didn't let COVID get in the way of teaching, by doing everything remote, they have found the perfect ...

The best decision I ever made

I got a good vibe from _nology as soon as I discovered them, thanks to their super-friendly admissions people. Unlike some courses, where I was facing several weeks' worth of prepatory work before even getting to the technical interview interview, I was able to get the ball rolling very quickly with _nology. They took the time to have a full conversation with me to figure out whether I'd be a good fit for the course, and then arranged for me to spend an hour with a software development c...

A thorough introduction to coding and a clear path to your first role

_nology provides a very competitive package to students.  A well-balanced programme, including real-life project experience, soft skills, mentoring, industry focus as well as a good choice of the latest tech and coding concepts that are most likely to set you up well for that first role.  My course was fully remote due to the pandemic, however the enthusiasm of the coaches was quite infectious and there was a good supportive and friendly atmosphere amongst fellow students and coaches.  <...

A fantastic course to help you start a career in tech

Having previously believed that you needed a computer science degree to work as a developer, I was initially sceptical at the prospect of being able to acquire skills to be developer in three months. However, after attending a taster session back in February and speaking with some current students I decided to take the plunge.

This turned out to be a fantastic decision as 4 months after starting the course I landed a job as a Software Engineer! In retrospect it wasn't any one aspe...

    Software Development

I decided to complete the _nology course in order to move careers after leaving school and initially training to become an accountant. What I wanted from the bootcamp was the technical skills that the industry was demanding to pair with my interview/professional skills... and _nology certainly delivered. The coaches taught me the most up to date tech and I was then able to put that into practice straight away with tonnes of mini challenges that tested if my understanding was as good as I...

The ideal place to be to get into tech

For anyone looking to get into tech, I would definitely recommend the _nology course. Although it is very fast paced and immersive, the quality of the coaching and working with other trainees really helps to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment where you start to see your skills progress day by day. Although the course was fully remote, the course was still delivered at a really high quality and I have gone from having no coding experience to starting my first tech ro...

    Front End Development course

I attended the Jan-April 2020 _nology Front End Development course (Bristol intake), of which ~50% had to be delivered remotely due to the Covid-19 lockdown. The transition to remote working was handled expertly despite short notice by the course facilitators, and overall I could not speak more highly of the course content or delivery, particularly of the trainers Shea and Matt. I enjoyed my time on the course, and was able to secure my first position as a software developer just days be...

From humanist to software engineer in three months

After finishing my degree in German and Philosophy, I attended the third cohort at Nology. To cut it short, the course took me from having close to no coding experience to landing a role as a software engineer in just three months.
Everyone on my cohort had wildly different backgrounds which contributed to a great learning environment. Furthermore, I was surprised to find out that there didn't seem to be any correlation between STEM background and coding aptitude (Before attending I...

An Excellent Start to a Career in Tech

I’ve just finished a 12-week course at Nology. It’s been an amazing experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in starting a career in software development.

The course is quite intense, 40+ hours a week and an expectation to catch up on concepts and work on personal projects in your spare time. However, none of this was too much as there was a lot of support from the trainers, and the challenges we were set were a lot of...

    Great kickstart into development

I took part in the 3rd intake. Right from the start you can see how much work has been put into it and how they are constantly finding ways to improve. This are 3 months where you can push yourself the most and have someone with expertise guide all your efforts into the best direction possible. It will give you back as much as you put in, so use the time wisely. Their aim is clear from the beginning; make you a great developer. And they will treat you as such from the start. It will giv...

    Course Review

I attended the second bootcamp _nology ran. The bootcamp is designed to be intense. If you learn well in this environment then you will do just fine. The bootcamp is structured in a way that fosters a collegiate and collaborative atmosphere amongst students.

In terms of career prospects, the course allowed me to question and improve my skills in tech.

We often hear the question, “What’s the best bootcamp to get a job?” Of course, some students will always attend a bootcamp for fun or to learn something new, but according to Course Report research, ~91% of students attend a bootcamp in order to get a job. Coding Bootcamps won’t “give” you a job, but a legitimate bootcamp should be career-focused and outcomes-oriented. This means that the cu...

Having a learning disability doesn’t preclude you from learning how to code or launching your tech career. And considering that 1 in 5 people have learning or attention issues, it’s prudent for bootcamps to support all types of learners.
