Skillcrush is a woman-owned, independent, online coding & design school founded in 2012. Skillcrush offers both free and paid programs, including the self-paced Break Into Tech + Job Guarantee program, which prepares students for entry-level positions in front end development and design. Skillcrush is on a mission to empower career changers — with a special focus on women and BIPOC — with the technical skills they need to transition into higher-earning, more fulfilling and flexible careers in tech.

Students who enroll in the Break Into Tech program will have access to both the Front End Developer and Designer career tracks. The curriculum covers HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Github, visual design fundamentals, and more. Once students complete the technical skill building portion of the Break Into Tech (about 16-20 weeks), they receive 180 days of hands-on job search support including 1-on-1 and group coaching, and the opportunity to interview with Skillcrush employer partners.

Skillcrush is an open enrollment school, so no application is necessary. Skillcrush has trained over 20,000 students, and has an over 90% success rate of placing students in qualified jobs with an average time to get hired of 8-10 weeks.

Skillcrush offers tuition assistance for people who are unemployed, full-time students, and current or former military service members. Skillcrush encourages students to email hello@skillcrush.com to discuss payment options.

The best learning experience I have come across. Skillcrush is welcoming from the very first contact and does everything possible to make the learning experience fit the individual. There is no-pressure with the 'try it and see' experience via the Introductory Bootcamps to help you decide if it is for you. There is ongoing flexibility for choosing, changing or adding learning modules. There is always a quick human response to requests for help with any issue or question.

    What took me so long?!

The coding bootcamp at SkillCrush was amazing! I had fun while learning...so cliche' but I actually did and still do. I enjoyed the bootcamp so much that I decided to take the Full Stack course. I like the different ways of learning that are expressed through out the course. First visual and auditory learning and then hands on learning. Also there are an abundance of resources to help you along the way from the instructors, to the SkillCrush community, to the live Q&As sessions, you ...

    Best Coding Bootcamp EVER!

Skillcrush rocks!!  I can’t say enough great things about it!  I chose Skillcrush over another bootcamp because of their teaching style, their free 7 day “try before you buy” mini bootcamp, affordability & their sincere kindness that was evident from the very first video I watched before even having any contact with a person on their team.  The knowledge and resources they provide are OUTSTANDING!  If you’re thinking about signing up with them, go for it!

    The Perfect Amount of Support

Skillcrush provides just the right amount of support a student needs while learning.  All of the information is provided in a detailed, sequential order with ample opportunities to practice skills.  I loved the projects and felt supported by the staff to push the limits of each project in order to further my learning.  The staff members are knowledgeable, kind and so supportive. I felt 100% ready to apply for jobs with the knowledge and experience I gained at Skillcrush.

    Great learning experience

The classes so far have been thoughtfully planned and developed to make the learning process enjoyable. The topics are presented in a logical order that builds progressively but allows for someone to set their own pace effectively. I'm looking forward to the rest of the classes.

    Well Structured & Fun Course

Skillcrush is a well thought out program for learning to code.  It is very accessible for those new to coding and the classes are fun and keep you motivated.  The way it is structured makes learning to code not as overwhelming as it could be.  Each part of the process is explained well and students are given relevant exercises to practice any new skills.  Projects towards the end of each course bring all the learning together and provide a sense of accomplishment.   There is a lot of sup...

    Well worth every penny

Skillcrush has given me a new path in life and I feel 18 again! After raising my children, I was lost and they have given me  a new career path and I look forward to each lesson. The lessons are simple enough for a newcomer like me to understand, the quizzes are fun and challenging without being too difficult. They have the best teaching method for an online program that I’ve ever used.

The Best Decision That I’ve Made!

Skillcrush has been nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning, I felt like I was in good hands. It was pretty scary hoping into learning a new skill and Skillcrush has helped me to grasp on to new skills pretty easily AND all of the course materials have been extremely helpful. I can honestly say that I’m learning new skills and retaining the information. I would definitely recommend Skillcrush in the future!

    Great learning experience

So far I have been learning a lot when it comes to HTML and CSS. There is a lot to learn and it takes patience as there’s a lot to learn but Skillcrush makes things quite wonderful in terms of teaching you how to build a website. So far I have learned a lot as I’ve done two project websites as of this day in writing this review.

    Excellent, fascinating and interesting

Skillcrush is a very user/student friendly course school. They take their time in teaching and have lots of practical challenges to go with every lesson. There is also a good student = teacher relation, where you can ask any question concerning a lesson and you are rest assured that you will get a quick response.
I like the teaching method a lot because it make  the student really gets involved, and it breeds confidence in the student.
I will recommend it anyway anywhere!
