Learn TensorFlow at These 12 TensorFlow Bootcamps

I had joined Brainstation due to several people in my personal network who successfully transitioned their careers in a non-traditional way, into the software industry. While I had intended to attend in-person, the program was filtered into online which I was initially hesitant about, having heard so many great things about the in-person experience. I found that it took a bit of adjusting to learn online, but also helped me save a lot of time that I was able to invest back into further learning. 

I found the curriculum effective, but due to the delay in matching learning materials with the extreme speed of technology, a there were a few pieces that I think would have helped us hit the industry running faster (Things like PostgreSQL instead of MySQL from a popularity standpoint). Otherwise the comprehension of core concepts in web development were of the utmost emphasis. Having to explain concepts in Javascript and React in both a high-level manner but also technically really helped deepen understanding of the learning materials. I liked the frequent whiteboarding/code challenge sessions toward the middle of the program, and would love to see even more of it for future cohorts - my peers echoed that this was a primary stressor going into industry. 

The most impactful part of the bootcamp was definitely the value added by our instructors. Anyone can go on Codecademy or Coursera and put themselves through a software development class but the live feedback for industry best practices, explanation of concepts and theories when understanding wasn't fully actualized. It also really helped having someone who's worked in the industry to comment on what poor coding practices look like. When learning in isolation, you can develop bad habits for things like code structure, file organization and general best practices.

Eli Boninger and Joseph Young were the instructors for our cohort and I could not have better things to say about them. We spent the most time with the ever quirky Eli during the bootcamp, and his expertise in coding and passion for his students really came through. I loved his flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond for his students when they were curious about something outside of course material. Joseph has an electric personality and it was really fun to learn from him, it was easy to stay engaged when he was on screen. 

Now, immediately post-graduation we're showered with industry panels and support from career advisors, and it's essentially everything that Brainstation could do for me. The rest is up to me now, but I do feel that they've set me up for success.

Codesmith provided me with exactly what I needed. The curriculum was set up to cover some of the most prevalent concepts and technologies in the industry, and what I left with was a strong foundation to stand on, a solid understanding of how to grow moving forward, and the dedication and confidence to do so. Since graduating, I've stayed in contact with my cohort mates and other people I met through the program (all excellent good-hearted people) and continued to learn and expand my skill set and capabilities. Recently I realized my goal, and with the help of the Alumni and Job Support Team (shoutout to Eric Kirsten), I landed a job as a Software Developer! 

My journey with NYC Data Science Academy began in 2018 when I enrolled in their Data Science and Machine Learning bootcamp. As a Biology PhD looking to transition into Data Science, this bootcamp became a pivotal moment in my career. Within two months of completing the program, I received offers from two different groups at JPMorgan Chase. Over the next five years, I was promoted to Vice President and Data Scientist Lead, where I developed personalized financial insights that were integrated into the Chase mobile app.

Recently, I relocated to Europe for personal reasons and took some time off, only to find myself facing the ever-evolving tech job market. It quickly became clear that the landscape had shifted significantly towards generative AI. After researching multiple options, I returned to NYCDSA and enrolled in their "AI Bootcamp for Real World Applications." This program provided the deeper technical training in state-of-the-art AI, particularly in Large Language Models (LLMs), that I needed to reenter the workforce. For my capstone project, I developed an advanced hotel recommender system using semantic search, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and LLMs, hosted entirely on AWS. Additionally, I published blog posts on the project and my AI insights, which helped demonstrate my expertise to potential employers.

What sets NYCDSA apart from other institutions is the depth of their technical curriculum and hands-on approach. While many programs lean more towards business concepts and inspiration, NYCDSA strikes the perfect balance between theory and practical application, particularly in design and implementation. Cole, the lead instructor for the AI Bootcamp, was instrumental in my success, breaking down complex AI concepts in an accessible and engaging way. Thanks to this bootcamp, I re-entered the job market with confidence and cutting-edge AI skills. Two months after completing the program, I received offers from two different companies. I highly recommend NYC Data Science Academy, especially their AI Bootcamp, to anyone looking to advance their career in Data Science and AI.

I highly recommend the Data Analytics course from Turing College! There are many online data courses available, but what sets Turing apart is its unique approach to learning, which makes the course truly worth its price. One game-changer is that students are required to review each other's work. This process not only deepens your own understanding but also helps reinforce your knowledge continually.

One of the best aspects of the course is the hands-on projects that simulate real business cases. The opportunity to receive feedback from professionals adds incredible value and helps you better understand real-world business challenges.

Additionally, Turing provides excellent support with job searching after you complete the course. They offer guidance and resources that are up-to-date and highly relevant in today's competitive job market.

As someone who had no coding experience before, I can confidently say that Turing helped me learn entirely new skills. Most importantly, the skills I've gained go beyond the basics — I now feel confident as a Data Analyst who can think critically and solve complex problems. 

I used Dataquest since 2019 and I double my income in 4 years and became a Data Scientist. That’s pretty cool! I’m sure other platforms could have also done the same thing but this is my experience. I don’t have any negative things to said and I’m pretty hard to satisfy so they are definitely doing the right things. I still have access to their platform since I purchased a lifetime membership years ago. I’ve finished the Data Science career pathway and now I’m running out of courses to take within DQ. I do wish they invest more in AI courses, e.g., large language models, deep learning, AI agent development, etc. Hopefully, someone will see this post and start creating more advanced course in AI. Long story short, great platform you won’t regret it!

Overall, this course was a success for me.  When I initially joined this course, I wasn't specifically looking for a new job, I was already in the software industry earning a lot of money in Silicon Valley, and I simply wanted to maintain my skill so it is not obsolete.  However, as the course progressed and my goals changed, I came to take advantage of their career couching services, which actually made a huge difference in my trajectory.  

This course is a serious course and I would recommend you join only if you have experience in software engineering already.  While it s not necessary, a lot of the deeper topic will go over your head.  Also, the learning outcome is absolutely dependent on how much time you spent on it, you can't expect to pay $10k and buy your way into an expert, this is a legit course and everything will have to be learned legitimately over time.

Course outcome:  I was doing about 10 interviews per week before the course ended, and I had 2 job offers both above $200k right after graduation.  I am currently the lead architect on a high caliber ML project with direct reporting ( I actually didn't even ask for this ).  The course paid for itself.  I would recommend.
