Founded in Portugal in 2015, Code for All_ is a social impact startup that offers 14-week intensive and immersive Full Stack Programming Bootcamps. Students are guided through the course by a team of instructors who are graduates of the bootcamp. Code for All_ describes their teaching methods as "peculiar" and aimed at training students to write clean code.
Code for All_'s immersive programming bootcamps welcome beginners of all ages (over 18) and backgrounds (degree not needed) as long as they are willing to fully and passionately commit to becoming professional junior software developers within a short period of time. To apply to the bootcamps, prospective students must complete an online computer science 101 course, submit an online form, complete an online JavaScript tutorial, excel in a JavaScript code challenge, and attend online a workshop day that will be similar to the student experience during the bootcamp.
At each campus, different financing/sponsorship solutions are available to help candidates finance the bootcamp. Terms and conditions are listed on the Code for All_ website.

Through the course of 14 weeks I, along with my awesome 19 colleagues, grew both as individuals as well as Software Developers, as we tackled the everyday challenges and learned to take great pride in our work. Sometimes small, sometimes gargantuan, the increments in which both our technical and soft skills improved on a daily basis were always noticeable.
As we fostered friendships, 14 weeks felt both like a single week as well as 52 - a duality that makes sense only to the lucky ones that experienced firsthand the bootcamp that changed my life.
Unique experience, loved every minute of it.
I've always had the desire to improve my IT knowledge. Programming was something i've always seen as a way to solve problems, but beside having done some programming side projects, I've always felt that my knowledge lacked the structure that would allow me to embrace bigger projects with a professional overview. Since I truly love learning, this was a very rewarding experience. I would do it again! No doubts about it!
Great jump-start I had with Academia de Código. I had zero acknowledge of programming and in 14 weeks I'm ready for the job market. Intensive course where I've practised a lot and learned a lot of tools for my life. Keep going guys, I've loved this 14 weeks and got great friends. Abrassessss!
Intensive but do-able with awesome instructors and the right material to kick-start a career as a junior developer.
I saw myself stuck in dead end jobs, my life seamed doomed and all hopes were gone. Then I saw a post about the Academy and decided to jump right into it. Oh boy, let me tell you something, it's not an easy ride, you'll fail and fall, you won't have time, they are not joking when they say it's an immersive and intense bootcamp. And yet, this was the best time of my life. They also told us on the 1st day that we would get out with a new family, all I could think was 'hell no', get used to i...

And yet, this was the best time of my life. They also told us on the 1st day that we would get out with a new family, all I could think was 'hell no', get used to it, they are always right! Always had everyone by my side, pulling me up when I thought I couldn't get up, helping me all the time, putting a smile on my face and making me believe in myself. I step out the academy with my pocket full of skills and my heart full of love. It's much more than just a course, a bootcamp, it's learning to learn, it's a home. To you reading, go for it, join this amazing family.

It was a pleasure to be part of this bootcamp! We learned a lot of things, but the most important thing we had experienced was this family! A lot of people that we didn't know and today we are like a real family!
About the bootcamp it self, it teach us how to be focused on a task. How? Leaving us out of our confort zone. Yes, this was a very challenging 14 weeks that maked us stronger than ever.
It was a very exhausting and intensive experience that pays off in the end! Usually people arrive without knowing what they are really getting into. I can tell you, that you are getting into one of the best life and teaching experiences. Not only do they teach you how to code, you make valuable connections and learn life lessons/skills that will help you along your journey. 5*
I was afraid about <A/C_> when I first heard of it. The more I looked, the more I got convinced it was the thing to do, but once I got there all my expectations were exceeded. Apply your new learned skills in small projects every week, and then learn to work as a team with bigger creative projects and a final 24 hour hackathon, which will be unforgettable.
Fourteen weeks that will change your life!
If you ever thought of learning how to program... guess what, THIS IS IT! DONT EVEN DARE TO THINK TWICE! Apply for this experience.. because you probably wont have much of these in your life!
My experience at AC was overall positive. Really a great opportunity if you wanna be a programmer.
A truly amazing experience throughout the entire 14 weeks with outstanding support from all teachers.
Great learning environment with a relaxed yet intuitive & dynamic learning process.
Wouldn't want it any other way!
Cheers for the pioneers and visionaries that made all of this possible!
