Le Wagon is a global tech training provider that offers full-time, in-person and online bootcamps in Web Development, Data Science, and Data Analytics. Tough, rewarding and worth it.
Is the Data Science and Machine learning Bootcamp at Le Wagon worth It? A one word answer is Yes. However, it's only worth it if you have a game plan. This course is great if you have a background in coding, and if not, at least done a few Udemy, Coursera, Datacamp(or equivalent) courses in Python and Machine Learning. It's a bootcamp, so things move very quickly and if you don't have some experience it can be really tough, not impossible but difficult. It's a bootcamp, so things move very quickly and if you don't have some experience it can be really tough, not impossible but difficult. To manage expectations, you probably won't become a data scientist straight away with this course alone, but it definitely will accelerate the process.
With that being said, I was really impressed with how well the program was organised, how highly-skilled instructors and teaching assistants were and the high level of course material.

A Great Experience
I started the bootcamp with little more than zero experience with coding in general or web development in particular. What I found at Le Wagon was a very friendly and rigorous environment. This may sound like a contradictory sentence, but I do mean it. It was a friendly environment in terms of the help that all of the members of the staff (TAs and lead teachers) were always meaning to offer. But it was also rigorous when it came to the challenges and the coding exercises. All of this contributed to a very engaging learning experience for me.
The instructors, as I have already mentioned, were thoughtful and engaging. I think that the bootcamp's most favorable asset is not the instructors, though, but the curriculum. It is a very compelling and well-organized curriculum. Its structure is, in my opinion, key. You begin with the fundamentals and progress to more advanced concepts by experimenting with different coding languages and testing your overall comfort with backend and frontend. You reach the final weeks of the bootcamp feeling that every piece of the curriculum makes sense and plays a part in your overall learning process. Better than traditional school!
Before starting Le Wagon’s Web Development bootcamp, all I had was a high school diploma and experience in customer service. I decided it was time for a change and made the best decision in my life. Initially, I was very intimidated by the idea of doing a bootcamp. Best coding bootcamp for me !
That was such an amazing experience ! I could've never expected
Before enrolling at LeWagon, I've done some research on the existing boot camps. I was following their social media for more than a year, I subscribed to their newsletters. I attended several free tutorials. I wanted to ensure that I would feel comfortable studying with these people and that they have the knowledge to transmit.
From my perspective, Le Wagon had all of that.
I switched to DS from linguistics with some programming knowledge and I was afraid of not keeping up...Before enrolling at LeWagon, I've done some research on the existing boot camps. I was following their social media for more than a year, I subscribed to their newsletters. I attended several free tutorials. I wanted to ensure that I would feel comfortable studying with these people and that they have the knowledge to transmit.
From my perspective, Le Wagon had all of that.
I switched to DS from linguistics with some programming knowledge and I was afraid of not keeping up with the curriculum, but honestly, Le Wagon makes everything for you to succeed and you just need to take your part of the responsibility and work hard :D. For my learning path, I chose a part-time schedule because of my full-time job. The advantage of it is that I could spend more time on subjects that I had some difficulties with.
This curriculum gave me a strong understanding of basic concepts and an intuition of the field itself. 6 months of hard work resulted in wonderful AI projects that we were able to architect and code ourselves.
The teachers and TAs were great as well, every time they managed to put into simple words difficult subjects. And in general, the staff of Le Wagon really impressed me: polite, nice, professional, and always there for you. The energy of Le Wagon is encouraging to learn and to network.

Moreover, by the end of the bootcamp I started feeling comfortable in addressing coding challenges, finding answers to technical questions, and thinking like a programmer. There are still lots of things to learn, but thanks to Le Wagon I now have all the basic knowledge to continue my journey in the tech industry.
