    Highly Recommended!

I was scared at first that I wasn't going to learn much in 8 weeks. However, I can say that I am very happy with the knowledge aquired so far. Taking this class has opened my mind to new opportunities and I can finally act upon my project ideas. Highly recommended!

It was an amazing course filled with so much knowledge but it wasn't all serious we laughed and we actually enjoyed the class usually all new things you aren't familiar with seem overwhelming but its ok just think about it logically

    On the Right Track

This full-time immersion course has had a great impact on my life. Not only has it instilled the fundamentals for creating production ready apps, but it solidified my confidence that "I can do it." I previously had an engineering background, but was more focused on hardware. So software seemed somewhat daunting to learn. But after going through this course, I know how to build web apps (fullstack!). I also learned that I have a good eye for frontend, but also understand the main components...

    More Than Code

Tech Talent South (TTS) provides so much more than just,"Here's what code is, here's how to write it." The efforts that go into student acceptance selection and course delivery ensure you're sitting beside individuals that are just as excited about learning the content as you are. That thing you get really excited when talking about... ya, your fellow student probably does too and also found this new way you weren't aware of that opens up a completely new approach; and yes, they'd love to ...

Startup Primer - so worth it!

Our cohort became a family.  That is the best way that I can describe my experience with Tech Talent South's Startup Primer program.  I think that the main reason why we were able to bond so well is because our class size was small, and we were able to get to know eachother and our businesses a lot better with the little time that we had.  I loved how the teachers were so open to help and how much we were able to share and support eachother in and outside of the classroom. It was amazing t...

    Code Immersion

I attended the full-time code immersion course. Before I even attended the first class, the staff was there to help answer any questions or concerns I had. It’s been a long time since I’ve stepped foot into the classroom setting, so I was a little bit nervous about starting over. But the instructor and teacher’s assistant set up a great environment so you felt like you can slow the pace down at any moment. The course was very frustrating at times, but very rewarding once I figured ou...

    FIVE STARS

I attended the full time code immersion program at Tech Talent South. My instructor was exceptional and spoke in plain language for my non developer mind! Each class was intentional and organized with an extremely high level of professionalism. Beyond the course itself, I loved the community atmosphere that is created and upheld by the staff and alumni. I had so many opportunities to meet with potential employers as well as network with other new developers. To me, this type of community a...

    Reviewing Tech Talent South

I wanted to take the time to relay my experience(s) with Tech Talent South. I found out about the Charlotte chapter of TTS through a friend and strongly disliked the current career path I was on so I decided to take the plunge. I ended up enrolling in the Full-Time code immersion class and I absolutely loved it. The class is set up in order for you to get your feet wet and to learn the basics in both front-end and back-end web development. Although I definitely got a lot out of the class, ...

    Full Time Code Immersion Class

I had the pleasure of coming across Tech Talent South whenever I decided to make a career switch into web development. The classes were very interactive and provided a lot of resources. They offered a ton of volunteer opportunities like Kids Code Night and I personally had the opportunity to teach kids to code at Davidson College for a Tech Talent summer bootcamp! The CEO, Betsy, has felt more like a close friend and a mentor than any average CEO. Any issues i've had (which, lets...

    Great coding class

Be prepared to be challenged!  Overall this was a great 8 week program that pushed me to my limits mentally but I learned a lot in the process.  You will cover a lot of information in an eight week period so I recommend preparing as much as you can beforehand.  The teachers were great (I had two different teachers) although they each had their own unique teaching style.  They were readily available through Slack too which was really helpful.

My dream to code! No, really I'm coding in my dreams!

I started this class eager to learn. I am a self-taught, self-employed business owner with a background in MySQL databases. Until this class, I taught myself everything. With that being said I yearned for a classroom environment.  I already have done my research about Ruby and Rails before joining the class. With my background in databases, I knew this was the right class for me. Then the journey started, the pain came and the dreams began. I’m glad I choose the part-time class. The ...

    Worth its weight in gold!

After my last contract ended I had some time to pursue an idea for a business I've always wanted to try. I began to attend several meetups across the city and speak to people I networked with in the Charlotte startup community. I quickly found that while the startup scene is now growing exponentially here, it is still in it's infancy and the scene was very difficult to navigate. I came across an ad for the TTS Startup Primer course and made the call. I was immediately impressed because the...
