Overall it was a really good experience! I missed 2 classes in a row due to travel so that kind of set me behind, which means I was kind of scrambling to get my final project done, but the course delivered what I expected from it, which was more of an introduction to the tools and methodologies of UX Design. It was a good enough taste to give me an idea of whether or not a career in UX design is something I want to pursue, so thanks!

I am beyond thrilled about my experience in BrainStation's NYC Data Analytics 10 week course. My teachers were incredibly knowledgeable and patient (shout out to Nathan Feifel and Wesley Pyen)! The class was structured in a way that fostered in depth growth, but also allowed us to work on our own and practice if we wanted. I learned about excel basics, but then dived into SQL, Tableau, and then Data visualization. I loved how we were able to work on our final projects for a bit in class...

I enjoyed the product management course. As an entrepreneur, it validated a lot of the things I've learned informally throughout my years of work. I look forward to staying connected with my classmates and would take another course w/ Brainstation in future.

I started my UX Design course in September and it lasted for 10 weeks. I went in with no relative experience in user experience design so was eager to learn the fundamentals and get a thorough introduction into UX. Interesting, fresh, practical
I think it had well condensed notes and excellent teachers who went beyond to create worksheets and exercises. The hands on is the best portion. However I do wish the class content which we pay for it accessible or at the very least downloadable (the Google slides).

A challenging but incredibly rewarding experience

The overall environment on campus was one of support and enthusiasm, everyone seemed agreeable and eager to help which made the learning experience all the better.
There were plenty of opportunities for collaboration with peers as well as across disciplines, so not only do we get to learn from the educators, but from each other as well. I also found the career workshops helpful, and I did learn a lot about what to expect when trying to find a job post bootcamp. I have just graduated so I have no insight to share regarding landing a role yet, but hopefully it won't be long before I find something.

Overall: Be prepared to put in the work if you want to make the most of this experience. It is not easy, but it will be worth it.

One thing I found totally heartbreaking was when they told me that "maybe this course isn't for you", instead of helping me, when I struggled to keep up due to my ADHD.
It made me feel really bad about myself and like I didn't belong or deserve to be there for the remainder of the course because of something I was born with. It really sucked not even being given the chance to give it my all, especially when I know I have so much more to give.
Although, I don't think that they meant for it to have such a negative effect on my whole experience, I really hope they find a way to make it more inclusive in the future so everyone feel welcome to study and develop new skills.

But otherwise it's a perfect course for the healthy, neurotypical person looking to change their career.
Luckily my tutors were awesome and offered great advice, although sometimes pretty contradicting advice so the communication could probably be improved to reduce confusion.

One great thing is that I have access to the course material and will be able to improve my skills and the projects I've worked on in my own time.

The people made the experience awesome!
