Wyncode was a life-changing experience in so many ways.  I intended to change my career and do something I'm passionate about and love (coding).

Wyncode was supportive from the start. Allowing me to apply for a scholarship, giving me a great option to pay and supporting me throughout my time there academically and emotionally.

It was a hard journey learning and evolving but well worth it.  I obtained a job two weeks after graduation.

    The co-founde...

    A few words of advice

It's hard to sum up the Wyncode experience in a short review so I'll do my best to keep things concise!

Wyncode has truly been a life changing experience.  I remember reading similar statements on course report before starting and was skeptical... but it truly was.  It is a very intense 11 weeks but if you are 200% committed in doing whatever it takes to become a web-developer you'll do just fine.  My favorite things about Wyncode were the instructors who across the board were in...

    it depends on you

Wyncode to me is a good investment if you love tech, have a foot in the door for a tech opportunity, know what your plans are after the course or just want to learn something new. I don’t recommend it for people who just want to change careers because tech is booming right now this has to be something you’re hungry for.

I was fortunate enough to have both instructors during my cohort and both have very different styles of teaching. Ed knows so much and get really excited about h...

    Great course!

Great place to learn and improve skills! I completed the Product Management course at Brainstation Vancouver during the fall and it was great. The content of the course gave me a complete view of the Product Management lifecycle; we went over the different areas for PdM, as well as some valuable tools & techniques: product canvas, personas, mvp, mkt analysis, pricing, risks, roadmap, and many more. If you are new to PdM or want to get some PdM technical training, then this is the place...

    Data Science Review

BrainStation was an easy choice when I saw that they offered a part-time gig in the evenings that I could fit into my busy work schedule. Although it was sometimes difficult to sit in a classroom after a work day, I always left with more valuable knowledge than I walked in with, which I see as a 100% success for a course. It was awesome to be able to put together a final project to begin a Data Science portfolio for potential new employers to be able to see. The course itself covered a bro...

The best part of my week!

I've just finished the Digital Marketing course at the Toronto BrainStation campus, and to be honest, I'm kind of sad about it. I felt a surge of energy every time I attended class, and BrainStation became one of the highlights of my week. The instructors are amazing, as they bring in real-world experience and break down complicated subjects so that students can understand them. I loved the youthful, tech-focused and positive vibe permeating the space, especially because it provided a grea...

    Product Management - Toronto

The Product Management course at Brainstation gave me new ways of looking at challenges I deal with on a daily basis. The course followed a logical progression from ideation, to development to launch and analysis of a new product, and the content was very relevant and practical. The instructors live and breathe product management and were very generous with their time, providing meaningful one-on-one conversations regarding the course material, tech startup culture, and career progression....

    Product Management

I enrolled with the part-time course in Product Management with BrainStation to have a more holistic view of the role of a product manager. This course has helped me to further understand how to manage the lifecycle of a product, has provided me with powerful management resources, and industry-standard structural tools to keep going. This course has helped me feel more prepared to pursue my career goals. Thanks to the academy for the great atmosphere, and to my teachers (Stewar...

Perfect course for a full-time worker

I work full time monday to friday, including some events on weekends and I also commute into work so my time is precious. This course was perfect for someone like me because it was only once a week for 10 weeks. It didn't do the deepest dive into each sub category of digital marketing, but it was an awesome intro course. For someone who had no digital marketing schooling I do feel as if I could hold a conversation with a digital marketer and contribute postively. The content is also set up...

    Great introductory course

BrainStation does a very good job of covering all of the bases, from SEO/SEM to paid advertising and email marketing automation. I especially liked the setup having different instructors, all with practical work backgrounds, who taught specific lessons based on their area of expertise. I would've liked a greater emphasis on the hands-on component and job search/interview prep aspects, but overall it was a great course! I would certainly recommend this to beginners who are looking to kick s...

    Digital Marketing Part-Time

I decided to take the Digital Marketing course to improve my marketing skills and to translate my knowledge of traditional marketing to the digital world.

The course feels really complete as you study every aspect of digital marketing.

It is really inspiring to have instructors working in the industry. Their experience and real-life examples help to understand the content way more than a tradional text book.

The space is beautiful and welcoming.

    Bad location!

I signed up for Wyncode's September starting class, Despite the efforts of traveling down a 4 hour drive from home, and staying with family, mind you... the Miami traffic of at least 1 hour and 10 minutes for a 20 mile ride back and forth. As I thought it would be worth the investment, there is no free parking, only street paid parking, which you have to be aware of the ticket maids. Small spot, lots of students, very noisy, there is some sort of Zumba techno gym adjacent to the school, wh...

    Hi Marisol,

We appreciate your feedback and wish you would have been able to stay with us for the entire Wyncode experience. During your one week in the program, we provided as much support as possible and it’s unfortunate we weren’t able to execute an action plan to get you caught up. The Wyncode curriculum is challenging but is catered to beginners. In fact, some of our most successful graduates had little to no prior experience with coding before learning with us. Beyond the teacher assistant support provided every day, we also offer the opportunity for developers who require a stronger foundation to repeat the first five weeks at no cost.

We apologize about your parking situation. In our orientation, we share free parking areas located within a 5-minute walk of the campus. I definitely appreciate your concern about the atmosphere of Wynbase. With an alumni base of over 450 developers, we often have visitors and guests but we do our best to keep the environment conducive to learning. Even with the lively environment at Wynbase, we also seek to include spaces where developers can work quietly. For example, in our head instructor’s Auston Bunsen’s classroom, we have a designated quiet space starting every day at 5:30 pm. The installation of the sound-proof pads has also begun and should go a long way towards helping with the sound from next door.

Thank you for considering us, and best of luck with your journey learning to code!

    Best,

Matt Campbell, Director of Admissions at Wyncode
