I took the 2-Day Design Thinking Training at the new BrainStation campus in NYC, and had a wonderful experience! The course was truly collaborative, hands-on, and comprehensive – and the intimate class size and both knowledgeable and approachable instructor made for a really rich learning environment. After the 2-days, I left the training with a comprehensive understanding of design thinking, and was able to apply what I had learned in my day-to-day job. After 8 years in the industry, this...

Program pros/cons
The highlights for me included:
Some criticisms (which were pointed out to the staff after our cohort ended):
Is this program right for you?
It depends. You could learn data science on your own with the content out there these days but it is a lot of information to learn on your own. At least at BrainStation it is somewhat guided learning that you can use as a basis to continue to grow yourself. For me, I spent usually 10+ hours/week outside of class learning on my own to reinforce the lectures and learn more about computer vision. You have to be a self-starter and be passionate about this field to make that career change.
Job prospects
After graduation, most of the interviews I had were with companies that came to Demo Day. Having that personal connection with the recruiters goes a long way in cementing your candidacy at a potential employer. For your projects, I suggest doing something that is interesting and challenging because that how I got people to talk to me.
I recently finished the 10-week part-time UX Design course at the Toronto campus and I enjoyed every minute of it! If you are looking to gain a better understanding of UX Design and its fundamentals you will enjoy this course.

The Lead Instructor, Colette Di Bella, and the Teaching Assistant, Chloe Silver, were very knowledgeable, approachable and helped out both inside and outside of the classroom. It was also very interesting to hear both Colette and Chloe’s thoughts and opinions about the UX Design process because of the experience they both hold. Learning about the different websites and applications they use was also a great insight to have when going through my own project.
When I began this course, I wanted to learn more about the design process and the tools used within UX Design. I can confidently say that this course has helped me develop a better understanding of these 2 things. I learned how to use Moqups, POP, and InVision as well as how to go through the iterative design process. During class time, the mini group work sessions were really helpful because of the ability to talk problems through in a team environment and the chance to hear others thoughts and opinions.
I enjoyed being able to work on a project and go through the process first hand, which in return, helped me gain a better understanding of what UX Designers do. I very much liked seeing my project come together starting as just an idea and ending with a working prototype. Thank you BrainStation for allowing me the opportunity to further my education.

Thanks so much for the fantastic education and experience!
I really enjoyed my product management class at Brainstation. It helped to formalize my learnings on digital products. The instructors were awesome, they always made time for questions and provided real-life scenarios to the theory they were teaching. The class curriculum was great, there was a formal learning session and hands-on class group activity to apply the learnings to follow. My experience at Wyncode was Amazing and Intense, but I wouldn't change it for the world! This was a career change for me and had very little knowledge about programming and this program gave me the hard skills I need to to work as a Full Stack Web Developer.
Honestly, I came to Wyncode to enhance my resume and learn how applications worked. I not only learned that, but I learned how to make these apps, and how to network. I also gained an amazing group of friends who are smart, tenacious, like-minded individuals who will succeed in whatever they do. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and the instructors are so supportive and knowledgeable. Best Expireance for Me and Good start for My future Carier !!!
This program is 10 weeks. The first 5 is front and the seconf half is backend. Any "bootcamp" is ofcourse not easy, but Wyncode offers optimal support. The professors are always available and they also have teaching assistants who have graduated in the sme program so it super convenient. The program manager is nice. The founders are there sometimes and it never feels weird. Overall the culture alone is really good. I joined with no technical background, just an interest and I was successfu...

I joined with no technical background, just an interest and I was successfully able to complete the course. I worked a full-time job while completing this, which I don't recommend since you'll spend a good chunk of time on campus after hours and weekends for supplement learning. I had many sleepless nights but anything worth fighting for is worth working hard for.
I came to Wyncode with no code experince and in 15 weeks I learned HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, REACT and RUBY. The instructors are so supportive, the projects are challenging and force you to grow int this new position. I am not going to lie this is one of the hardest experirences I've ever been through. Yet the most rewarding in my profesional career. Now I start my journey as a full stack web developer and I can't wait. I highly recommend Wyncode. I would suggest that first you complete an on...

Yet the most rewarding in my profesional career. Now I start my journey as a full stack web developer and I can't wait. I highly recommend Wyncode. I would suggest that first you complete an online course to get your feet wet, since the material your diving into can be extremely overwhelming at first! If you really like computers you can do this!
Wyncode was life changing, as a person that came straight from high school. I definetely learned more in ten weeks then in four years. I fell in love with the school, my classmates, and staff. They are super supportive and always ready to help. Especially the TA's, even when they're not working you can always slack them for help and they'll always get back to you as soon as they can. I would 100% recommend Wyncode to anyone that truly wants to become a coder.
I had a positive experience at Wyncode. It was a firehose of knowledge. I wish I had done more prep work leading into the bootcamp, I felt like I was playing a lot of catchup in the beginning.
Pitching my idea with a team who elected to be a part of a "Acorns for Bitcoin" app was an exiliarting and satisfying feeling I'll never forget. The relationships I made, the tools and tricks I learned here helped jumpstart a career in freelance web development.
