The Tech Academy is a trade school headquartered in Portland, Oregon that offers full-time and part-time bootcamps online and in-person at their Portland campus. The Tech Academy offers part-time and full-time bootcamps in computer programming, website development, cybersecurity, game development, mobile development, data science, front-end development, tech marketing, and tech sales. The immersive experience aims to create well-rounded technology professionals, and also gives students the option to take the course at their own pace. There are also no set starts dates or rigid scheduling. Students can enroll at any time, study from home, and choose whatever study schedule they would like.
The Tech Academy’s bootcamps cover topics including computer science fundamentals, programming basics, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, C#, Python, Bootstrap, jQuery, React.js, project management, Agile, Scrum, MVC, version control, Java, and more. Each bootcamp also includes a Live Project, where students gain real-life experience to add to their resume as well as job placement assistance.
None of The Tech Academy's bootcamps require any tech background or experience. To apply, applicants need to take an IQ test with logic-based questions (to ensure applicants can read, write and perform basic math), followed by an admissions interview.
The final part of every The Tech Academy bootcamp is the Job Placement Course which covers interviewing skills, resume writing, where to find tech jobs, and gives students access to job placement staff who assist students in landing technical positions.

Amazing Opportunity
I completed the Software Development Bootcamp and this program is definitely setting the bar high when it comes to coding bootcamps. This is by far the most thorough learning experience i've come across when it comes to learning to code. I was able to learn at my own pace and I had direct instructor feedback whenever I became stuck. I recently graduated from the Software Development Boot Camp at The Tech Academy and had a great experience. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I never communicated with anyone who made me feel uncomfortable or offended. They work hard to make sure their material is easy to understand and provide assistance through phone, email, screen share, etc whenever necessary.
I enjoyed the projects and challenges they included on the boot camp, my favorite being the Live Proje...I recently graduated from the Software Development Boot Camp at The Tech Academy and had a great experience. The entire staff was extremely helpful and friendly, I never communicated with anyone who made me feel uncomfortable or offended. They work hard to make sure their material is easy to understand and provide assistance through phone, email, screen share, etc whenever necessary.
I enjoyed the projects and challenges they included on the boot camp, my favorite being the Live Project. At the end of my boot camp, I was able to work on a real web application for a local company. Gaining experience on a real application and working on a software development team was priceless. It ended my experience on an extremely high note and gave me the confidence I needed to go job hunting.
After finishing the boot camp, they work with you to assist in your job search. I was contacted regularly to check up and see if I need assistance, emailed leads on a regular basis, and provided feed back on my resume, interview answers, and much more. Best decision I have ever made
The Tech Academy is an intensive programming boot camp that teaches you exactly what you need to get started in the industry. The instructors were a fantastic resource, and the course material made learning at my own pace a very achievable goal. Great Choice!
This boot-camp is great as it will get you off the ground and into a new career! I joined knowing it was going to be a lot of work and was in a position to put in the work needed. There is a lot of content and the ground up approach that they take really teaches you how to learn which will come especially in handy once you graduate. In only 12 weeks I was able to have a portfolio site and several really cool projects to put in it. I finished early and they will let you learn other course...This boot-camp is great as it will get you off the ground and into a new career! I joined knowing it was going to be a lot of work and was in a position to put in the work needed. There is a lot of content and the ground up approach that they take really teaches you how to learn which will come especially in handy once you graduate. Great Experience!
I took the full time python bootcamp online during the pandemic. 1) what an amazing use of time! 2) I learned so much in such a great way. Their online courses are amazing and the support staff who are on call 7 days a week are such a great help when you get stuck. I highly suggest their courses as you can go into the boot camp with little to no knowledge and come out with a portfolio of projects to show your work. Know what you want before going in.
The Tech Academy is very good at giving you a general overview of the information you sign up for. Like they say throughout the course they can't teach you everything but you do learn a lot in a short period of time which of course you will forget some of. Basically know what level of education you want before you sign up and do some research. Besides that, the staff are very helpful and listen to most problems you have. I enrolled in the python boot camp as a beginner with absolutely no prior knowledge on how computers work. I am so grateful for the instructors at tech academy because they've done a good job communicating with me whenever I was stuck on an assignments.
