The best choice I did.
You don't know about it until you live it.
Live it, and tell me....
Ironhack Bootcamp is a great place to work on your skills.
We had a good work environement and received support whenever we needed it.
I researched other coding boot-camps in the area and from reading the reviews, I gathered this would be the best choice. I also asked my friends who are computer programmers and they all agreed that this curriculum was the most up to date and the most thorough. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up or that it would cover an obscure topic, but none of that was true. You do need to have some basic understanding of programming before you start. But they give you the opportunity to learn that before starting the course with the Pre-work they assigned. The curriculum is very well designed, as long as you put in the time to learn, you will do very well. I can’t believe how much we learned in 2 months. It also helped that everyone taking the course was highly motivated and we all helped each other and kept each other accountable. Overall, it was a great experience.
Really good course
It was an awesome experience who I recommend to anyone thinking to change his career like me.
Beyond learning, the atmosphere between staff and all the students was the best.
I would definitely repeat!
Very nice experience, I have met very professional people and better people. The level of teaching is great. A great family forms all the staff. 100% recommended
I am a student who did the Web Dev Bootcamp in part-time in Paris.
I was a total beginner in the conding world.

As you may know, the course last 6 months and is separated in 3 parts. At the end of every part, you have 1 month to make a project that you choose. Every week, you also practice A LOT by doing the exercises, which are really helpful to understand the common mistakes.
The first part is for HTML, CSS, and Javascript, which are the basics for front-end development. For me, this was the hardest part, because raw Javascript may have a logic that could be hard to understand at the beginning. But as you go forward you learn a lot, and the teachers are very dedicated to help you. At the end of this part 1, you have to develop a game; which is a very cool way to practice and learn as you code.
The second part is the back-end part, learning NodeJs and Express. You just have to learn the logic and copy/paste what is in the Ironhack course and in the documentation to make everything work. You will learn how to manage a database and use APis (Google Maps' API, Spotifiy' API, etc).
The last part, my favorite one, is to merge front-end and back-end, using NodeJs and REACT, which is a very cool language. Inititally the plan was to learn AngularJs, but the teacher decided to make us learn React, which is most demanded and very useful for what we will have to do. At the end of module 3, we had 1 month to develop and pitch our product. The final project usually match a professional project you have, and the teacher are really devoted to help you success.
To conclude all of this, I really enjoyed my experience at Ironhack, with a super team, super teachers and lot of great people met. I particularly enjoyed :
- the ambiance
- the dedication of the team to help you succeed
- the flexibility and kindness of the teachers
- the courses offered, with all the exercises you have to practice.
Amazing experience and School, THANKS a lot !

I started the course coming from a completely different background... so had lots to learn.
The course was extremely intensive and effective. It’s impressive what you learn in such a short space of time! In just 8 weeks you get a good basis in all aspects of UX and UI design, all the way from validating ideas through user research to designing high fidelity prototypes in sketch and flinto. The teachers are passionate and knowledgeable.

On top of that, Sonia is great at helping you secure a job after finishing the course. She has a lot of great contacts and gets you over the first hurdle of securing interviews. I finished the course just before xmas and was already working midway through January as a UX designer in Barcelona.
I would definitely recommend the course, but do it with an open mind and with realistic expectations. You won’t know everything there is to know about UX/UI design after 8 weeks... but you will have learned a solid foundation that will leave you well equipped to carry on learning in your first role.
I had a fantastic time at Ironhack and learned so much.
Nizar is one of the two best teachers I've ever had and I have been in school for way too long. The effort he puts in is admirable and motivating.
Kevin and Gus were very kind, helpful and ego-boosting TAs and I appreciate them immensely.

Brito is a really awesome guy, he truly cares and he will do his best for you. And he has some quotes that you will remember your whole life.
I was hired as a developer after the course and this would not have been possible without Ironhack.
A fair word of warning however: you must dedicate yourself entirely and you must love programming. You will have to go above and beyond what is taught in class to be competitive in the job market. And once you have finished these two months, you will realize how much there is left to learn; it never ends, so be prepared and make sure this is your passion.
Thank you to all of Ironhack!!!
Pros - The instructors were very knowledgable with great credentials. They also had a lot of networking opportunities, but most of the attendees were not interested in students and were looking for more experienced developers. Classroom and campus was very nice and Barcelona is beautiful.
Cons - When I applied, I was told the graduates had a 96% employment rate after graduation. When I arrived, the figure changed to 80% (understandable). However, my class, most of those with lit...

Cons - When I applied, I was told the graduates had a 96% employment rate after graduation. When I arrived, the figure changed to 80% (understandable). However, my class, most of those with little to no knowledge of programming in my course still do not have a job or offers months later. Also, the class size was two times as advertised, we had over 30 people in our class, and it was nearly impossible to get help from the TAs. Also, the "career week" was only a single day and was not held immediately after the course, it was over two weeks after the course had ended, which meant many of us could not attend due to travel/visa issues. The coursework was shoddy and disorganized, we had lessons in week three for material we were expected to know on day one. They claim to take you from 0% to 80%, I would say I went from 20% to 50%. I am still unemployed and cannot find a job.
